This policy explains what personal data HomeDampLab (homedamplab.com) collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep data collection to a minimum: you can read every guide and use every tool without creating an account.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Daniel Aznar Alfonso, Avenida General Avilés, 40, 46015 Valencia, Spain. Email: aznaralfonsodaniel@gmail.com.

Advertising by Google
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s My Ad Center. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s certified consent management platform before advertising or analytics cookies are set. See our Cookies Policy for details.
Our tools
Our calculators and checkers run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us.
- Weather-based tools: if you share your location or enter a ZIP code, your browser sends it directly to the US National Weather Service API (api.weather.gov) to get a local forecast. We don’t store it. The browser asks your permission before sharing your location.
- Logging tools: readings you save, for example in a humidity log, are kept in your own browser’s local storage. They never reach our servers and you can delete them at any time.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell your personal data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf: our hosting provider, Namecheap (United States), and Google (advertising, analytics and consent management). Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards recognized by EU law, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email aznaralfonsodaniel@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are in the EU and are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local authority.
US residents: depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal data is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. You can exercise these rights through the email above and by turning off personalized ads in My Ad Center.
Children
HomeDampLab is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to its administration is limited and protected. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the little data we hold.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. Questions? Use our contact page.
